If so tell me the story... If not then your lucky..

On the road? No. On the race track? Yes. There isn't much that sucks worse than blowing a rear tire at 140 mph, except blowing a front! Left hand sweeper, dragging the knee, front tire goes. I go down (DUH, right?). Fortunately, since I was geared up correctly and already nearly down, I just slid along the track for a while, and got up and walked away with nary a bruise. My GSXR1000 didn't fare quite as well.

Awesome Story Fritz,
I am glad you did not get hurt.
I have had a flat tire several times in my life and of course the Oh Shit word came right out of my mouth a couple of times, as I was starting to drift into the on comming traffic because as you well know when you have a flat tire on the front of your bike at any kind of speed then its pretty dangerous and pretty much.... Oh shit,oh shit,oh shit, oh shit, shit, shit, shit.
HA,HA,HA,and HA.
Luckly I did not get hurt either.....
Have a good day, Shadowwalker 357....

Yes, I too have had the famous flat tire. It happened when these two guys spiked my HD back tire at a local bar when I was inside drinking and partying. My wife and I did not notice it until we were leaving. I was surprised at how some brothers I didn't even know were ready to stand with me to re-decorate that truck and those two guys after hearing the story. Nice feeling. Long story short, I left my wife at the side of the road and went to a 76 station and rigged a temporary tire fix filled the tire and rode with my lady most of the way home. She had to walk the last 5 blocks. Now I carry a full tire fix kit on the Harley for me or any brothers or sisters I find on the road with tire problems. Oh and that Bar has been identified through the biker grape vine as a no-stop zone. Seems to be working 3 years later.

Good Story,
I am glad that you had a safe ending to the story,
Flat tires can be a
real bad hair day
especially
if you and the
asphalt meet after a flat tire.
Thanks for your story. Shadowwalker357
Awesome story.
Thanks, Shadowwalker357
back in the days of an '84 suzuki 850 GSL, goin to work , makin a right hand turn at about 25mph,back tire deflated (didn't blow, thank god) . assend slid left and ended up facin where i came from...didn't drop it,and survived....
I have only had one flat tire experience. Back in 1985, I owned a Yamaha 550 Vision. When I took off from a red light intersection, ( more like a "Y"), I came around the curve and all of the sudden the rear end was coming up besides me. I was 23 at the time, had just lost my brother the year before in a bike accident, so you can imagine what was scared out of me. Anyways, I managed to get my bike under control, pulled off the street, looked down down and saw the tire off the rim. I pushed my bike about 2 blocks, to the gas station, put it up on it's center stand, and applied the air to it. To my surprise, the tire beaded back on the wheel, and never had a problem after that. Guess my brother was watching that day.
